Description

2003 Yamaha Banshee 350 – Classic Power Meets Legendary Durability

At the heart of the Banshee is a 347cc liquid-cooled, twin-cylinder, two-stroke engine. Each cylinder is fed by a pair of 26 mm Mikuni carburetors, energizing a powerband that still thrills riders decades later. The CDI ignition and kick-start system add old-school charm, while the 6-speed manual transmission ensures control through every terrain nuance.

Expect around 34 horsepower, a solid figure for its class, with stock top speeds often plateauing around 75 mph—proving why the Banshee remains one of Yamaha’s most enduring performance ATVs.

Chassis & Braking

Built to handle both blistering straights and rugged terrain, the Banshee rides on independent double-wishbone front suspension with 9.1 inches of travel and rear swingarm suspension offering 8.7 inches. Both include adjustable preload for tailored handling.

Stopping power comes courtesy of spacious dual hydraulic front disc brakes and a single rear disc—a setup that offers confident, controlled deceleration no matter where you’re riding.

Dimensions & Build

With a dry weight of 386 lbs (around 405 lbs when wet), a wheelbase of 50.4 inches, and a seat height of 31.5 inches, the Banshee rides low and feels planted. The ground clearance of 5.3 inches and compact dimensions (73″ L × 43.3″ W × 42.5″ H) make it adept in technical environments. The fuel tank holds approximately 3.2 gallons, offering solid range for extended trail sessions.

Lighting & Design Details

The 2003 Banshee came equipped with dual 35W halogen headlights and a 21/5W taillight—functional choices ensuring ride visibility during low-light conditions. Its tubular frame is revered for durability, lending to both longevity and collectible appeal.
